Champions
We have been so lucky and blessed to have owned and bred some beautiful Poodles, each and every one of them very special and dear to us. In total five of our poodles (three Miniatures and two Toys) have reached the ultimate top spot and gained their UK Champion title. Overseas we have some top kennels flying the ‘Sherrygold’ flag. In Australia, we have had two Toy champions (Simon & Jazz), and in Ireland our latest Miniature boy (Diesel) recently gained his crown at the age of only 15 months.
Our main showing highlights have to include Charlie who was 4th top Poodle all sizes in 2004 and won runner-up in the Utility Group out of nearly 2000 dogs at Richmond in the same year. Close behind must be winning Best Puppy in breed at Crufts with Harriet in 2007, and then again five years later in 2012 with her son Simba. At Crufts we have also had Best Bitch in Toys (Jordan, 2007), Reserve Best Dog in Miniatures (Spencer, 2007) and Best Puppy Dog in both Toys (Brazil, 2010) and Miniatures (Spencer, 2005) and many class wins, to name just a a few.
Outside of the ring, the main highlight was owning our big winner Spencer who proved his virtue through his progeny, winning Top Sire/Top Stud for three years running.
Aside from the many champions we have been so lucky to have owned and bred there are many other special dogs who didn’t make the top limelight in gaining their crown but they certainly made their presence felt in the ring.
